Accessibility

Everyone should be able to learn about our services, get a quote and reach our team, whether you browse with a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader or a magnifier.

Our commitment

Fresh Coast Foam provides spray foam insulation, concrete leveling and related services across West Michigan. We want freshcoastfoam.com to work for every homeowner, builder and business owner who visits it, including people with disabilities.

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the widely used standard for accessible websites. We believe the site partially meets that standard today. Most of it works well with assistive technology, and we are still fixing some parts, which are listed below.

What we have done

  • Added text descriptions to photos of our work so screen readers can describe them.

  • Included a skip-to-content link so keyboard users can jump past the menu.

  • Kept our phone number, address and service details as real text, not pictures of text.

  • Organized pages with headings so they are easy to scan and navigate.

  • Chosen text and background colors with readable contrast.

  • Made the site responsive, so it works when zoomed in and on phones.

Known limitations

We know about these issues and are working on them:

  • Some promotional graphics, like our energy tax credit offer, show important details inside an image. Call us and we will walk you through the offer.

  • A few images, such as badges and logos, may not yet have useful descriptions.

  • Some page headings are used for styling rather than structure, which can make screen reader navigation less clear.

Our site runs on Squarespace and links to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We don’t control how those services handle accessibility, but we will help you get the same information another way.

You never need to use the website to get a quote or schedule work. You can:

  • Ask for any page, estimate or document in another format, such as large print or plain text by email.

  • Tell us about any accommodation you need when we visit your home or job site for an estimate or install.

If something on our site is hard to use, we want to hear about it. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and any assistive technology or browser you use.
